Harvesting crops -

Using a hoe speeds up the process of collecting crops.

Weapon -

While not as good as a sword a hoe can be used to attack mobs.

Distracting piglins -

Piglins are fascinated by golden hoes - drop one and they will inspect it instead of attacking you.

All hoe's in Minecraft can be repaired, it does not matter what material they are made of. This is done at an anvil. There are three ways in which a hoe can be repaired. These are Anvil repairs, Grindstone repairs and mending enchantment.

Anvil repair 1 - to repair a hoe in an anvil you will need to place two items of a same type and then a new hoe will be generated. The new hoe will retain all of its enchantments that the two items had before. This method uses experience points that you collect through normal game play or by building XP farms.

Anvil repair 2 - another way to repair a hoe in an anvil is to place the hoe in along with the main type of material that makes the hoe. So if you have a diamond hoe then you will need to place the hoe along with the diamond in the anvil.

Grindstone - you can use a grindstone to repair your hoe. To do this you will need to put two hoe's into the grindstone slots and you can then remove to hoe from the grindstone. The downside is that all enchantments and buffs will be removed from the hoe when you take it.

How to enchant a hoe - to enchant a hoe first you will need to build an enchanting room this will consist of an enchanting table, at least 15 bookshelves and lapis lazuli for enchanting. The next step is to place the hoe and the lapis lazuli into the enchanting table blocks and see what enchantments are available. One you've chosen simply drag the hoe into your inventory.

Changing the enchantment list - to change the list of available enchantments you will have to enchant an item.

This is how you need to place the hoe and the lapis lazuli in the enchanting table. You will then need to select what enchantment you wish to add and then remove the hoe into your inventory.

Here is a list of available enchantments for a hoe - silk touch, fortune, mending, unbreaking, efficiency and curse of vanishing.
