How to build a villager breeder
This is a villager breeder built on Java edition 1.21.5.
This works by making the villagers that are in the enclosure willing to breed. To make the villagers willing to breed they are fed food and when they have enough they become willing to breed. In this build the player will have to feed the villagers until they are in a state that they are willing to breed. This build will enable you to build as many villager based builds as you may need.
3 Loaves of bread.
12 Carrots.
12 Beetroot.
12 Potatoes.
These are the values that the villagers require to become willing to breed.
The product of this build is villagers. Here is a break down detailing what villagers can do.
Villagers are passive mobs that inhabit villages in the game of Minecraft. They are humanoid creatures with unique, distinct appearances, wearing clothing that varies according to their occupation and the biome they are in. Villagers can spawn naturally in villages, or they can be generated by curing a zombie villager.
Villagers can be used for numerous tasks in Minecraft.
Farming - villagers can be used to farm crops for you.
Breeding - villagers can be bred to increase their population.
Iron golem farming - enough villagers and beds can spawn iron golems, these can be used to build iron farms that produce a massive amount of iron.
XP farming - trading with villagers is a great way to earn XP.
Trading halls - you can build a trading hall. Once built you can trade with villagers to obtain things like enchanted books, armour and weapons, maps that lead to certain structures and many more. What you get depends on which villager you go to.
Here's a rundown of their characteristics.
Professions - villagers can have different professions, such as farmer, librarian, armorer, butcher, and many more. Each profession is tied to a specific job site block.
Trading - players can trade with villagers using emeralds as currency. Each profession offers unique trades, with items and services specific to their role.
Breeding - villagers can breed to produce baby villagers, which eventually grow into adults and take on professions.
Interactions - villagers interact with each other and the environment. They have schedules that include working, socializing, and sleeping. They also exhibit panic behaviour during raids or zombie attacks.
Gossip - villagers share information about player actions, which can influence trading prices and iron golem hostility.
Interesting Traits
Movement - villagers wander around their village during the day, returning home at night or during rain.
Socializing - they occasionally stop to "talk" to each other, staring for a few seconds.
Pathfinding - villagers can navigate around obstacles and prefer to stick to low-cost paths like dirt or cobblestone.
Villagers add a layer of depth and complexity to the game, making villages lively and interactive places for players to explore and engage with.
Here's where you can find villagers.
Villages - this is the main place that you can find villagers.
Breed Villagers - you can breed villagers in a villager breeder.
Cure zombie villagers - you can cure zombie villagers using a splash potion of weakness and a golden apple.

In this section we will discuss the materials and the ingredients that we need to make this build. This will give a concise list of the items and the recipe's to make them.
Gate
Bed
Torch

In the first step of this build lets place a 4x11 block grid on the ground leaving a gap at one end for a door.
Place a door in the gap.
In this step we will build the wall up 1 more block leaving gaps for windows.
You can leave as many gaps as you wish for this step, it is only so you can see the villagers in the house.
Place glass blocks in the gaps you have left.
Here we will fill in the build so that it is an enclosed structure.
In this step we will build a fenced area around the outside of the house (at the same end as the door). Please ensure that a gate is placed in the fence somewhere.
Here we see the house from inside.
Place beds and torches as shown.
If you set up your build similar to this it will work.
In this screenshot we can see that the villagers have bred and produced a child.
Here we can see the villagers actually breeding as shown by the hearts.
Here we will explain in detail how to build a villager breeder in Minecraft. Please follow the instructions carefully.
What can go wrong - villagers not breeding.
The first reason that may be stopping them breeding is you need two blocks of air above their beds.
The most common reason for this is that mobGriefing is switched off. If mobGriefing is off, the villager cannot break crops use /gamerule mobGriefing = true in commands to rectify this.
They need to have the right amount of food in their inventory. This is for both villagers that you want to breed.
Villagers will only breed if there is a spare bed for them.
Other suggestions for build - to improve on this build you can make an automatic villager farm. This consists of building a larger housing section for the beds and an area where they can grow crops. This will enable the villagers to feed themselves and to breed with no interaction from the player. It is best then to build a transport system so that the villagers can be moved to their correct locations.
Additions to the build -
Carpet tiles - one of the additions to the build is to place a carpet tile on top of the fences. This will mean that you can get in and out of the build without opening the gate. To get in and out just jump onto the carpet tile.
Larger area - you can build a bigger area for the villagers having more beds to enable you to breed more villagers.
Additional builds -
Transport system - you can add a transport system to the build so that you can transport your villagers to the place that you want them.
